Marvel's Thing Infinity Stone Upgrade Makes Him An All-New Hero
In a world where the Fantastic Four has seemingly been killed, The Thing received an all-new origin and Infinity Stone upgrade. In Avengers Forever #3 by Marvel Comics, readers are introduced to a new version of Ben Grimm, who gained incredible cosmic powers in the experiment that changes his appearance forever. The colorful version of The Thing has become the protector of Infinity and is on an all-different kind of Avengers team.
In the Avengers Forever series from Marvel Comics, Robbie Reyes' Ghost Rider has been taken to Earth-818, a dystopian reality ruled by the Black Skull. The villain seeks answers on the Avengers Prime and tortures the Ghost Rider and Deathlok to find out more about their mission. However, unbeknownst to the Black Skull, Tony Stark (the universe's Ant-Man) has assembled his own Avengers squad to break the hero's free. One of those members is the most powerful version of The Thing in Marvel Comics history.
In Avengers Forever #3 by Jason Aaron, Aaron Kuder, Cam Smith, Scott Hanna, and Guru-eFX, Tony Stark's Avengers squad is revealed. The group consists of alternate versions of popular heroes. Among them, a Vision that Stark built as a kid to be his friend, a new Moon Knight named Mariama Spector, who is described as a "one-woman global rebellion," and Simon William's Wonder Man, a deadly version of the longtime Avenger. Also in the group is Ben Grimm, a "renegade astronaut" who gained his powers searching the stars for something to save the world, coming back as the Infinity Thing.
