The Godfather Trilogy To Start Streaming Ahead Of New Making-Of Show

The Godfather trilogy will be available to stream on Paramount+ later this month alongside the streamer's new making-of series, The Offer.

The Godfather trilogy will be available to stream the same day as its new making-of limited series, The Offer, on Paramount+. Francis Ford Coppala’s Godfather franchise is considered by many to contain some of the greatest films in the history of cinema. Each movie in the series has been nominated for several Academy Awards, including Best Picture wins for both The Godfather and The Godfather Part II. While these films have always been celebrated for their craft, they have recently reentered the public eye with the first movie celebrating its 50-year anniversary with a limited return to theaters.

As reported by ColliderThe Godfather trilogy will be available to stream on Paramount+ later this month. This includes the original versions of The Godfather and The Godfather Part II as well as The Godfather Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone, which is the 2020 recut of The Godfather Part III. All three films will be available to stream alongside the first three episodes of The Offer on April 28.

The Offer will tell the true story of producer Albert S. Ruddy, who will be portrayed by Miles Teller, and his involvement with the making of The Godfather. Though there's already a lot of excitement surrounding the project, the ability to stream the Godfather trilogy alongside the series on Paramount+ may encourage more people to check out The Offer. Audiences will be able to see how the new show stacks up against the films that inspired it when both begin streaming in a couple of weeks.
